This
very attractive former estate house is maintained and equipped to a high
standard. Comfortable and warm the house is an ideal choice for group and
large family holidays. The cottage is located in a rural setting in the
Cairngorms National Park, in an area rich in wildlife which offers endless
possibilities for activity holidays, including winter skiing holidays.
Aviemore and Inverness are two of the most popular Highland tourist
destinations and Hillview House is within easy driving distance of both.
Glenlivet is one of Scotland’s secret glens, located between the Ladder and Cromdale hills in the Cairngorm National Park. The two rivers of Livet and Avon are within the 58,000 acres of Glenlivet estate, part of the Crown estate.
The altitude never less than 600 feet, the area is wonderful for wildlife
and walking. Crossbills, siskins, redpolls, goldcrest and long tailed tits
can be seen in the woodland areas, as can red squirrels. Adjoining heath
provide for black grouse and short eared owls while the blanket bog and
rough grassland are favoured by the waders for breeding.
Red and roe deer may be seen here as can mountain hare, white in its winter coat and the colours of the hills are forever changing with the seasons.
Cycling,
horse riding and skiing may be enjoyed - also fishing on certain river
stretches, with permits available locally. All the facilities
are well sign posted and well maintained.
Solitude in the wide open spaces allows complete relaxation, away from
the stresses of modern life and you will return home, refreshed.
