The cottages are situated on the 200 acre Dalvourn Farm, which lies admist the beautiful and picturesque valley of Strathnairn.  Much care has gone into the layout and spacing of the cottages to provide maximum privacy and to secure the best views.   

There are 3.5 miles of beautiful woodland and riverside nature walks, which start from your door, these connect into Forest Enterprise roads/walks allowing you to walk or cycle for miles into the hills on good quiet forest trails. 

There are several RSPB natures reserves in the area, with Loch Ruthven, the main breeding place for the rare Slavonian grebe a few miles away.  The wildlife and birdlife around the cottages is plentiful, with woodpeckers, osprey, buzzard, owl and even Golden eagles to be seen.

The cottages are only 6 miles from Inverness, about 11 miles from Loch Ness and the skiing centre of Aviemore is around 30 miles, so ideally located if fancy some retail therapy, Nessie spotting or some winter sports.  The Northern Highlands, Mull, Isle of Skye or the west coast are easily accessed for a days sight seeing.

• Spacious lounge with colour TV, and Video,DVD, Hi-Fi and a CD/Radio.  Broadband internet access with wireless connection for lap tops is now available. Payphone. Large windows for watching the numerous birds that inhabit the birchwoods, and a patio to the front of the cottage for your relaxation aand enjoyment.
• The large kitchen, with dining area, has cooking by electricity, oven, grill and hob. A microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine/ drier, toaster, coffee maker and electric kettle are also provided, together with all kitchenware required.
• Three bedrooms, One king size, one twin and one single room with a pull out companion bed, (this is a small single bed). All rooms have built-in wardrobes. Master bedroom en-suite with a double shower.
• Double glazing and full oil fired central heating ensure the cottage is warm and welcoming in the cooler months. All oil and electricity is included in the price.
• Bathroom has a bath with a shower over, basin and toilet, with a heated towel rail and shaver point.
• A large airing cupboard, iron and ironing board, clothes dryer, hairdryer and vacuum cleaner complete the facilities.

• Kitchen, with dining area, has an electric oven, grill and hob. A microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, toaster and electric kettle are also provided, together with all the usual kitchenware required. Ironing facilities.
• King size bedroom
• Twin bedroom with pull out companion beds, allowing for 2 extra guests.
• The bedrooms are fitted with solid oak furniture and all the wardrobes etc have been adapted for the disable user.
• The wet room, with shower, wash hand basin and toilet, has two access points which allows it to be used as an ensuite if only the king bedroom is in use.
• The facilities for disabled people include lower and easier access to kitchen units and equipment.  Lower beds in themaster bedroom for easier access and open plan between the ding room/kitchen and the lounge.
